Workshops

Ruth’s medicine making workshops are a wonderful balance of theory and practical. Learn about the science of medicinal plants, practical pharmacy and how to create a herbal remedies for yourself and your family.

In each workshop a group may focus on one plant or multiple plants. Whilst these workshops can be more focused on learning how to make remedies, Ruth will also share the herbal wisdom of the plants medicinal uses through somatic and sensory experiments - this is where the group are guided to explore the sensory and energetic qualities of the plant. The sessions also explore the science of taste in relation to herbal chemistry.

Ruths medicine making workshops can be held anywhere for groups, 1:1 and as a short course or a one off. Learn to make syrups, tinctures, decoctions, infused or macerated oils, ointments, creams, balms, liniments and much more.

The art of making medicines is a vital skill for anyone wishing to create a home apothecary.

Workshops and talks can be booked privately by small or large groups or for corporate events.
